Elegant and Smart

Create Beautiful Public Spaces That Will Welcome People and Respect Budgets for Years to Come

Slot Drain looks better than grated drains in landscape and public applications. But that’s just the beginning. ADA accessibility compliance means they are safe for wheelchairs. Lower installation costs means you can redirect some budget now. And outstanding durability combined with easier and safer cleaning means you can reduce ongoing maintenance costs.

Not only would I recommend this company’s products to anyone interested in having a drainage system installed, but I would go as far to say that it would be a mistake to go with anyone else.

I love this product! The Slot Drain is simple to install and looks tremendous when finished! I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a sleek low profile drain solution. I will continue to utilize Slot Drain on many future projects.

I really like Slot Drain – it has filled a niche for something that I’ve been putting together on my own, but in such a better way. This is on my short list for the next situation. Make no mistake.

Landscape and Urban Slot Drain Application

Slot Drain is the most durable drainage system available. The only parts of the drain exposed are the surface angles, which are made of stainless steel. The rest of the drain is embedded into the concrete, so it can handle whatever weight you want to put on it. There is no grating, which deteriorates / breaks / bends and needs replacing. This makes it especially suited for heavy/high traffic areas, such as vehicle maintenance facilities, airports, parkades, warehouses, truck and rail loading docks.

Trench Drain Vs. Slot Drain System

Traditional Trench Drains

Traditional trench drains, while still sometimes used in landscape and urban design applications, are now being viewed as somewhat clunky and obsolete. Many designers and architects have begun to move away from this outdated style of drainage due to its lack of design flexibility and high rate of maintenance issues.

  • Visually Disruptive – Unappealing decorative grates draw attention
  • Difficult to maintain and clean
  • Grates bend and break – requiring eventual replacement
  • Damaged grating can also present safety risks

Slot Drain Systems

Our systems can be modified into any configuration, allowing us to build customized solutions at scale – no matter the project size. The result is an effective system that meets your specialized requirements for long-term operation and maintenance.

  • Sleek and clean lines – no messy grates
  • Safety is top priority – any drain can be ADA compliant
  • Easy to maintain – specialized cleaning tools
  • Durable design – stands up to heavy traffic over time

Let Slot Drain support your legacy with durable, high-flow drainage that will stand the test of time.

Strainer Baskets are always recommended to easily prevent any unwanted debris from entering the sewer system, which can cause solid build-up and costly clogs. We even offer locking strainer baskets to add another level of safety to your system.

Although our drains can be designed without the need for a  catch basin, they are definitely recommended. Catch basins and strainer baskets make the cleaning process simpler and more efficient by catching solid materials, as well as things that may have been accidentally lost in the drains such as keys or rings..

Stainless steel is steel that is mixed with at least 10% chromium to create an alloy that is corrosion-resistant, as well as bacteria-resistant. This is why all of our products are made of either T304 or T316 stainless steel – to keep your facility safe.

To choose the right floor drain, begin by asking yourself some questions about where the drain will be installed and how it will be used. What application will you be using the drains for? Will there be any heavy forklift or vehicle traffic running over them? Will any harsh chemicals reach the drains? What sanitation conditions must the drains meet? The answers to these questions will help to determine the best product for your needs. If you are still unsure, contact our drainage experts today.
